Sarah A. Frederick has a longstanding history of fighting for the rights of individuals with disabilities. Before founding Frederick Law Offices in January 2015, Ms. Frederick was Lead Associate of the Disability Department at Bernhardi & Lukasik. She was previously a Staff Attorney with the Volunteer Lawyers Project under the AIDS Institute grant to serve individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Ms. Frederick honed her skills as a disability advocate at Heritage Centers, where she provided legal representation to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Ms. Frederick volunteered with Lawyers for Learning as a tutor at Buffalo Public School 18 in 2004 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006. She served as Secretary and was elected President of the Board of Directors of Lawyers for Learning in 2012. Ms. Frederick also serves as a volunteer panelist on the Surrogate Decision Making Committee for the New York State Commission on Quality of Care and Advocacy for Persons with Disabilities and is an active member of the Erie County Bar Association Committee for the Disabled as well as the WNY Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. Ms. Frederick is a 2002 graduate of University at Buffalo Law School where she completed the Community and Economic Development Clinic. She obtained her B.A. in Political Science from American University in Washington, DC. Ms. Frederick is admitted to practice in New York State, and Federal District Courts for the Western District of New York and the Western District of Pennsylvania.
